As for CY (Chongyu) himself, I learned to my great surprise that yesterday was his first day in retirement! He has been working as a Caltrans engineer for the past almost two decades, and bureaucratic bungling and corruption at his job compelled him to seek early retirement. All the better for this energetic and highly intelligent man, for whom retirement is an opportunity to do the really fun things in life.
