There was a great article in the Post today regarding backyard decks and home inspections in general. Here's the story. If you haven't heard the story, a homeowner in Troy had a gathering with several people on her deck. The deck collapsed. Luckily, there were no major injuries. The article points out that perhaps there are many more such poorly constructed decks and unsuspecting homeowners.
